As JIPS we have a two-tier governance structure, made up of an executive committee and an advisory group. The committee is a decision-making body that gives us direction but also room for manoeuvre as it oversees and monitors our activities, and advocates and raises funds on our behalf.
JIPS’ Executive Committee
Representatives of the following organisations sit on our executive committee:
JIPS’ Advisory Group
The advisory group brings together a select group of senior professionals from academic, operational and institutional backgrounds with expertise in areas such as displacement, protection, development and applied research methods. Together they contribute to JIPS’ governance by advising the organisation and its executive committee members on technical, operational and strategic issues.
The advisory group is not a decision-making body, but a forum for exchange and an open space for discussion and the provision of guidance. The members’ knowledge, experience, networks and support also contribute to JIPS’ identity as a global hub for profiling displacement.
