Aden is the largest city of southern Yemen and at the time of this report the internationally recognized capital of the country. As part of a profiling project covering seven cities in Yemen, this urban profile describes and analyses the situation in the city across different sectors and population groups (including internally displaced people and refugees), using an area-based approach and combining secondary data analysis, remote sensing, and structured interviews with community focal points and sector experts.
It provides partners with evidence and analysis that can support future rehabilitation plans and inform operational programming and strategic policy development. JIPS led the development of the data collection methodology and of the joint analysis process, including an in-depth training of trainers.
